Team Work on Boxwood Panels

Assembly work for our customers

We love it when we have the opportunity to pull from all the departments to work as a team here at Mid-Hudson Works.

It builds relationships between employees and allows for some fun in the mix as well.

Our customer, Visual Marketing Services, hires us several times a year to help with building all or part of a display they have designed.

Some of the projects have included:

  • Bending hundreds of colored wires to exact measurements to be inserted into shoes that would hang in the display.
  • Building custom light bars from various lengths of aluminum U-Channels. We painted, drilled holes to accept threaded sockets, wired dimmers, clip plugs and connectors together to create each light bar and packaged into custom made boxes.
  • Assemble window displays for retail stores across the country. This is the project we just finished.  We used a team of 10 – 12 people to assemble each display. The project took us eight days to complete and in the end we had created 104 window displays using 4992 boxwood panels, 34,320 zip ties and 6240 flowers.

The actual work was quite simple, but needed to be done quickly and neatly. As a result, dance music helped keep the pace moving along with good old fashioned laughter and hard work. Our team did an exceptional job and we are now on to our next projects.
